Democracy
Democracy works best when citizens participate, elections are fair, government is transparent, and public officials remember that they work for the people.
Our democracy belongs to all of us. Protecting it requires more than holding elections—it requires informed citizens, accountable leaders, accessible government, and confidence that every legitimate vote and every citizen's voice matters.
Free & Fair Elections
Wisconsin voters should choose their representatives—not the other way around. Elections should be secure, accessible, fairly administered, and conducted with districts that give voters a meaningful opportunity to choose who represents them.
Voting Should Be Accessible
Eligible Wisconsin citizens should be able to exercise their right to vote without unnecessary obstacles. We can protect election integrity while also making registration, voting, and participation straightforward and accessible.
Transparent Government
Public business should be conducted in public. Citizens deserve reasonable access to government records, meetings, budgets, decisions, and the information necessary to understand how their representatives are using public authority and taxpayer dollars.
Accountability & Public Service
Holding public office is a public trust. Elected officials should answer to the people they represent, disclose conflicts of interest, follow ethical standards, and put the public interest ahead of personal, partisan, or financial gain.
An Informed & Engaged Public
Democracy depends upon people participating beyond Election Day. Strong communities encourage civil discussion, public involvement, reliable information, and citizens who are willing to question their government and hold leaders accountable.
